Summer Safety Reminder: HCMUD 449
Jun 17, 2026As summer activities increase throughout the community, HCMUD 449 encourages all residents to take a few simple precautions to help keep our neighborhoods safe.
Whether you're heading to the pool, park, or on vacation, remember to always lock your vehicle doors and never leave valuables visible inside your car. Items such as purses, wallets, electronics, backpacks, and firearms can attract thieves and increase the risk of vehicle break-ins.
If you observe suspicious activity or have concerns that do not require an emergency response, Harris County Constable Precinct 5 encourages residents to contact their non-emergency line:
Non-Emergency Line: (281) 463-6666
Residents can also submit tips online by completing the Crime Tips Form available here. Additional contact information for the Harris County Constable's Office Precinct 5 is also available on their website.
Working together and staying vigilant helps keep HCMUD 449 a safe place to live, work, and play this summer.
Remember:
- Lock your vehicles every time you leave them.
- Remove or hide valuables from plain sight.
- Report suspicious activity to the Constable's Office.
- Get to know your neighbors and look out for one another.
For emergencies, always call 911.
Have a safe and enjoyable summer!
